Edo 2024: Obaseki’s former Commissioner dumps PDP

Former Commissioner for Communication and Orientation in the Governor Godwin Obaseki's administration in Edo State, Efe Stewart has announced the resignation of his membership from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ahead the Governorship election in the State next year, the former Commissioner on Wednesday made the announcement in a letter he personally signed and dated;  25 October, 2023. 

In the letter addressed to the Edo State PDP Chairman, Chris Azegbemwin, and availed our reporter in Benin, he did not state reasons for jumping the ship.

Stewart however thanked Governor Godwin Obaseki and the leadership of the Party for giving him the opportunity to serve the State in various capacities.

Until his resignation, the former Commissioner was a leader of PDP in Egor Local Government council Area of the State, and frontline Local Government Council Chairmanship aspirant in the locality.
