The Management of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma has released the Academic Calendar for the 2nd Semester of the 2022/2023 academic session with students expected to return to campus on the 2nd of January, 2024.
According to a press release issued by the University's Head of Corporate Communications and Protocol, Otunba Mike Ade Aladenika, copies of which were made available to newsmen in Benin City, lectures are expected to start immediately.
"Our readjusted academic calendar gives no room for any form of procrastination from either staff or students as lectures are expected to commence on Wednesday 3rd, January 2024.
"Continuous assessment for all students is scheduled to commence on the 5th of February, 2024 while lectures for the Second Semester ends on the 13th of March, 2024.
Examinations are billed to start with Entrepreneurial (ENT) and General Studies (GST) courses on the 18th of March, 2024.
"The Second Semester examinations are expected to end on Monday, April 22nd, 2024 thus giving way for Faculty Board meetings to consider results on 13th of May, 2023."
Further, Aladenika said: "The Business Committee of Senate will meet on the 20th, May 2024 to consider results.
"The Second Semester and by extension, the session would be rounded up with the sitting of Senate to consider results from the 28th through to the 30th of May 2024."
Students are enjoined to strictly adhere to this calendar while dedicating themselves to their studies diligently, it was added.
