The Confederation of African Football (CAF), has labelled Victor Osimhen as the 'Lion of Africa' after his nerve breaking performance which arguably aided the Super Eagles 2-0 defeat of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, last Saturday.

The football body reportedly; also used the popular ‘no gree for anybody’ slogan to describe how the 25-year-old made possible Nigeria’s first goal in their 2-0 win to knock out Cameroon in the round of 16 on Saturday night.

The CAF Player of the Year; Osimhen exhibiting extra ordinary strength, galloped and broke free from the Cameroonian defender's grip near the periphery of the 18 yard box, and laid a pass through to Ademola Lookman, whose weak finish rolled pass the line to give the three times African champions their first goal.

Consequently in reaction; CAF posted a video of one of the world most sort after marksman's celebration after Nigeria’s first goal, and was said to had written on its official X handle; “Lion of Africa no gree for anybody! Ginger o porrr! No retreat, no surrender.”

Ademola Lookman scored twice in each half to hand Nigeria a famous win over the Indomitable Lions.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will now play Angola in the quarter final of the competition next Friday.

Angola had earlier beaten Namibia 3-0 to secure a place in the last 8.
