• Asserts, do not expect my people to now work against me!

As the collation of results for the Governorship election in Edo State is going on, the Speaker, House of Assembly, Hon Blessing Agbebaku has registered what he termed: 'sweet victory for his party; the People Democratic Party (PDP) in his Ward 2, 'Uhomora', Owan - West Local Government Council Area.
At about 3:30p.m, when we arrived in the area, Agbebaku said out of the 13 polling units in the Ward, his party; PDP won 11.
This victory he attributed to the positive impacts of the Gov. Godwin Obaseki's administration on his people.
He added that under the Obaseki's administration, he as the Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly has attracted government presence to the people as no less than eight persons through his leadership has gotten permanent government employment, in the locality.
He asserts; "Ward 2, Eme-Ora where I was born; I won all the four units; We have 13 units total and we have won 11."
The speaker said the PDP also won in the unit where the APC State House of Assembly member, Hon. Victor Ojo Asen hails from.
All we are saying is that we want a better Nigeria, he stated; asserting that the PDP would win with a very high margin.
"For a man who built these solar light for my people when it is night, it is like day; my people are very happy and they said their son is the speaker; number 3 man in the State and they don't want the position to leave here because of the infrastructural development I am doing here; in Uhomora; Wd 2.
"You can see all the youths here; they are behind me because of the good things I am doing for them. I have employed no less than eight persons here in this community; permanent jobs and they are working!
"So, do not expect my people to now work against me!"
He said the exercise was peaceful adding; "this is the most freest election I have ever witnessed even though they were using money; they were giving each voter ten thousand Naira, the people were not deterred because they want to vote for progress, prosperity and to curb hunger."
In the rating of the performance of the umpire; Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), the Speaker said they have done well.
